SPSI Thiruvananthapuram Chapter organizes a first of its kind seminar for young researchers-Polymer Conference for Young Researchers (PCYR-14) on Saturday, 18th October 2014 at NIIST, Thiruvananthapuram. This seminar is intended to promote polymer research among the young sprouting scientists of the country. In this seminar, selected young researchers will be invited to give talks in front of an august audience (probably first time in their career). consiting of young research It also encourages student researchers to present contributed papers in the form of posters. SPSI organizes MACRO-2015, International Conference on Polymer Science and Technology during January 23-26, 2015 at Kolkata. This is a biannual international symposium on Polymer Science and Technology held in India under the umbrella of The Society of Polymer Science, India (SPSI- www.spsi.co.in) which will commence twenty fifth year of its journey in January 2015. This meeting of the series marks the silver jubilee celebration of SPSI and it will be organized jointly by the Kolkata and Kharagpur chapters of SPSI to be held during January 23-26 2015 at the Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science (IACS- www.iacs.res.in), Kolkata, India.

SPSI, Thiruvananthapuram Chapter is organizing a one day workshop titled Polymer Chemistry-Our Life, Our Future on Saturday, 24th September 2011 at Senate Hall, University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram. This workshop, targeting Graduate engineering students of Polymer Technology and Post Graduate students/Research scholars of Chemical Sciences / Technology studying in Kerala, is intended to encapsulate the fundamentals of polymer chemistry and its usefulness in day-to-day life. It also aims in presenting the comprehensive and exhaustive contributions of polymers in various fields of human life, in particular, biomedical, aerospace, electronics, photonic and energy areas. During the course of the workshop, the delegates will have an exposure to the career opportunities of polymer science in India and abroad.
